Freud predicted that paranoid delusions are motivated by unconscious homosexual impulses. The research conducted to test this hypothesis has been reviewed and it is concluded that the results do not support Freud's position. The results indicate an association between homosexual concerns and paranoid delusions but not in the manner that Freud predicted.
